Acer Aspire 5750 will not boot up

Hello,

I have a situation regarding my wife's Acer Aspire Laptop computer. When she powers it up it only goes to a black screen. the power is on and the fans are running etc. However the operating system does not boot up. She never even gets to the Acer logo screen. What can be done to fix this issue. I appreciate any insight as I'm running empty on ideas. Thank you.

Try this

1. Remove the battery and cable.

2. Press and hold the power button for 58 seconds.

3. Replug and start.
