I know my sound card doesn't work, but I need to have sound.

My sound doesn't work, and I had it checked so I know it's the sound card that is broken. As it is attached to the motherboard It's not worth replacing. I was wondering if there are any kind of headphones or external sound cards that I could use to get the sound to work. I would also like to be able to use a mic, but it isn't needed. Thanks :)
