Hello,
My dell laptop is powered by charger only as the battery is been damaged, so its been a year it was powered by the charger. Last night it suddenly switched off and when I tried connecting my charger to powerup the laptop, charger light (blue) turns off with no power to laptop to turn it on. Basically the moment I try to insert the powercable into laptop charging socket, it turns off!!! Can anybody please help me out to rectify this issue. I tried using another charger but it does the same thing.

Please do advise on the above mention issue.

I'm sorry but this seems to be a hardware which needs to be checked by a pro since you have to evaluate the power circuit starting from the input connectors.
