Hello,
I got a wd my passport external hard drive I forgot the password - but its auto-unlock for my laptop so I had my data out of it.

Hi KIA,
Do you have WD SmartWare installed. If you have forgotten the password and you have backed up all the data, you can use the utility to format the drive and assign a new password. I leave you a link with some instructions.
