Hello,
When i switch My compaq pc on,, it displays a slideshow of some weird pics.. Nothing else happens and nothing else can be seen.. If i press the hibernate button on the keyboard,, the screen goes black and hibernates... No other response is shown by the screen.. mouse and keyboard work properly.. Only display doesnt respond.. Please help..

Looks very much like a virus.

What is your operating system?

Can you boot in safe mode with networking?

Windows 7 home basic operating system
Cant reboot on safemode or any other mode for that matter. When pc is switched on, i can directly see the above mentioned slideshow.

Actually this happened after i switched the computrr to sleep mode suddenly when i was playing a game....
After i switched it on again,, the above mentioned thing started happening...
I unplugged it directly bcause i couldn't get it to shut down and when i switched it on again... The slideshow thing started again... I also have anti virus.. When the computer starts up.. It directly shows the slideshow... So no stitching to any mode....
Told you giving commands is impossible...

What is your operating system?

Can you boot in safe mode with networking?

I did not ask you to give any commands, yet!

Can you access your task manager (alt+crtl+del) ?

No, the screen just blinks and then comes back to the same slideshow

Dear Clumsy,

I believe that we have tried everything in the book to get access to your system.

A rather stubborn virus it is. The only solution left is to restore to factory settings.
