Unable to booting

Hello,
My system xp2000 is not starting. And also unable to 'boot' or run 'safe mode' Whenever I want to run the bootable CD it's showing select 'r' to repair. After the pressing 'r' or any key system going to restart automatically. Plz help me.

Did you see your hard disk in BIOS?...
If not try to plug in sata/ide cable and power connecting the hard disk properly.......
