OS cannot be installed at all, please help.

Hello, I have Acer aspire one AOD255, there is no OS on it. I have bootable flash drive, tried every piece of OS from Win xp up to Win 7 ultimate, none of it seem to work. Win 7 says that OS cant be installed on the disk, and the XP's doesn't even boot up..my bios version is 1.00 and i have only option to changde HDD>AHCI/IDE.

can the BIOS detect the hard drive?

Yes BIOS detect hard drive, and the flash drive.

can you run a copy of Linux from the flash drive?

Doesn't work, says " An operating system wasnt found,Try disconnecting any drives that dont contain an operating system.
Press Any key"...same was with the XP.

Can you try booting from a CD? Some compute4rs are unable to boot from a USB connection.
