Black screen on installation

Hello,

hie how do i get rid of a problem i have, its been telling me the strike the F1 message to continue, now that i have installed a floopy drive it gone but the first installation process goes on till it boots for a file installation, its showing all the required information then afterwards it jus shows a black screen with a cursor only forever and ever till i restart and again, the cursor is of this sort " _ "
