Hello everyone!
I have a 64 GB Silicon Power USB that is giving me some problems. When I connect it to my computer I click on view files but my computer tells me the USB is empty. However, when I go to my computer it says removable disk (G:) has 22.4 GB free of 57.6 GB. I do have quite a lot of videos in that USB and I really don't want to lose them. This happened quite out of the blue and I'm not sure how to fix it. I have already tried a few fixes which I'll list below and none of them are working. The results are in bold:

Show hidden files and folders
Uncheck hide protected operating system files
AutoRunExterminator (nothing was found)
attrib *.* G: -r -s -h /s /d (Parameter format not correct - )
attrib -h -r -s /s /d g:\*.* (File not found - G:\*.*)
G:\attrib -s -r -h *.* (`G:\attrib' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file)

Hello,
# Download USB Fix
  • It will launch automatically, and a shortcut will be created on your desktop.

  • Choose "Clean" option.
  • A pop-up will follow :
Connect all your external data sources to your PC (Usb keys, external drives, etc...)
  • Once you're ready, click "OK".
  • While cleaning, you will loose access to your desktop, but this is normal.

The numbers of analysed and infected elements are displayed.

# Copy/paste the report here.

All was well until the process stopped at 98%. A window popped up that says:

AutoIt Error
Line 42186 (File "C:\UsbFix\UsbFix.exe"):
Error: Subscript used on non-accessible variable.

Under the green bar that shows the progress it shows G:\ so I'm guessing that the process ran into problems while analyzing that drive in particular? Someone else recommended to click on the "Research" button first which led me to this report. I'm not sure if that's helpful but I might as well paste the link here anyway.

Hi,

Looks like your drive has been physically damaged.

Try it on another computer.
