HP laptop stuck in auto repair

My hp laptop turned off while I was on it and when I turned it back on it was a blank screen with the hp logo. I pressed one of the function keys our OF frustration and it has been in an auto repair mode since..what can I do?

I think you press F8 key, if so then click repair option or safe mode on it..
