I got sims 2 and it worked for a whilefor mac

Hello,
I got Sims 2 and we had to have someone come and install it for us. And she did it but when we tried to install Family fun stuff on it it wouldn't work.neither of them. It's a mac game. It fits all of the sytem requirements. I downloaded the combo patch before downloading family fun stuff. Is it just me with this problem? please help!!!!!!!!!!

Maybe there is a file missing or corrupted, the simplest solution is to install sims2 again,without the expansion.

try opening garage band and play a few notes, sounds weird but i had a similar problem and read that somewhere and it worked
