Black Screen With Large Moveable Cursor

Hello,
Today I dropped my phone onto my Toshiba Satellite laptop and the screen went black and shut down. This has happened once or twice before and I can just restart the computer and it works fine. This time it didn't work and goes to the start up page where I have two options: Start Windows Normally OR Launch Startup Repair (recommended). I have tried both and it starts to load normally but then just goes to a black screen with a large moveable cursor. I've also tried taking out the battery, pressing F8 and other methods of rebooting that I have googled, none of which have worked.
Has anyone else had this problem and know how to fix it?
