Apparent calibration issue with most interactive programs

About three months ago I started to have a problem with banking software and quicken where lines are crunched together and, on occasion, when I hit a button to move to next page or input data, nothing happens but when I drop down slightly the line is repeated and the button in that row appears to work.

Sometime, the repeated line is on top of a different line and the action I took launches the from the wrong line.

Is this a virus?
