I have a gateway windows XP when I turn laptop on it says F10 for boot menu or F2 BIOS i have done both and they keep taking me to a black screen thats says Operating system not found. When i go to do the setup it goes right back to the Operating system not found screen. I have hit every combination of f10 f9 f8 f5 with ALT and it still wont take me to where I can restore or completly reboot laptop back to factory settings please help.

Well, in that case, your Hard Disk is corrupt, or your BIOS isn't pointing towards a bootable partition.

If you have done nothing with the bios, then your HDD is dead!

You cannot revert to factory as there is no Hard Disk to house the O/S.

Go and get another PC as XP is dead and we are in windows 10 now, three OS away from XP!

It seems like that you have bad sector on your hard drive. that is why your bios is not able to detect it and giving you an error. no operating system found. so in this kind of situation, you need to replace your hard drive.
