Windows 10 cannot locate the wifi adapter

Have just upgraded from windows 7 premium to windows 10 and now am unable to connect to the internet. In fact my toshiba ultrabook cannot locate the wifi adapter. The light is on where it says that wifi is turned on but no joy how do fix this issue any suggestions keddie? Thank you.

Have you tested using an Ethernet cable?
I assume you will need to download an updated wifi driver from Toshiba. Either using another PC (and a flash drive) or the wired connection.

Many thanks, absolutely right. As soon as I updated the driver on device manager I was able to connect. How something so small can be overlooked by me. Thanks again problem solved.
