Cannot format my mem card...

Hello,
I need to format my 16gb transand memory card, but it's not even windows cannot format it. when i try to format it in my windows, it says frequently "SCAN AND REPAIR DRIVE", if i repair it, again and again it tels like it.. Can any1 help me to format my memory card....?

Click on Start » Run, type cmd in the text box and select “OK”. Type-in the following command Format/x K: then hit enter. the K in this is just an example. replace the K with whatever drive yours comes up as.
