Problems with windows 10 apps

my lap top will not open any thing new from windows 10 it worked fine at first now it is like all the new functions have been disabled and i am back on windows 7 has all my apps from 7 work fine but i have no cortana edge browser or apps page from start menu. i have reset my M.S. ACCOUNT security and it wont be active till 22/09/15 would this be the cause of this

I have had the exact same issue. what i found out, for mine anyways, was there's a program file called All Package Handler that somehow had the permissions wrong which stopped almost everything from working. there's an article in the windows help thing that walks ya through how to check for it and fix it if is incorrect. good luck!
