Hp Pavilion Entertainment Pc Isnt Working!!!

My Hp Pavilion Entertainment Pc isn't working correctly. It boots up (the lights on the keyboard light up and the Caps Lock LED blinks) But heres the problem, The screen is just Black. And When I hook it up to an external monitor it still doesn't work. The monitor says it is hooked up and connect but the screen is black on there too. I have had it for a few years and I have had this problem a few times but after a while it would come back on. It has been Weeks since I tried working with it again and its still not working. Please Help!

What exact model do you have. There was a video chip problem with some HP laptops that could only be fixed by a moteherboard replacement. Sorry to say it;s cheaper to buy an new one that to try to fix to alder laptops.
