Failure conf. win updates

Hello, yes my LT is currently in a loop trying to revert changes. I recently downloaded windows 10 and was not at all happy with the incredibly slow response time in almost every instance I encountered, so I opted to reload Win 8. now I believe my entire system has crashed, unless it is possibly that Win updates takes 2 days... I think not, plz help

Did you revert back to windows 8?
