Now, with being said, that does not mean that it will be optimized. Your hardware may meet the retirements, but still not perform the way you would expect. If you are trying to place 7 on top of an XP machine, DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!
If you do decide to venture it, then make certain you get all of your files off the drive, or get another drive and build it on top of that!
