Raw deal on a DelI Inspiron 1545

Hello, I'm a newbie with an old question,-a relative of mine(of course) sold me his Dell Inspiron 1545 & didn't tell me , it was because he forgot the system/administrator password at start-up separate from the drive! (CMOS) and could someone please help me bypass the this password with some easy sreps ????? So I can show him who got the best deal, I tried the battery thing-no dice! First I tried replacing the drive and that's when I found out that it is part of the hardware and cannot go any further without the PW or another laptop! But I know there is a wiz out there , somewhere and willing to make right what was wronged!......Thanx ***@***
