ITune has Stopped working

Hello,
my iPod and iTunes have been sync for three months. Now I can get on iTunes but when I pug in my iPod I get a message from Window that says iTunes has Stopped Working. No definition of the problem.
I have reset my iPod, re down loaded iTunes and whiched USB ports.
nothing works...... Help

Hello did you try connecting your Ipod to another pc? It's may be the itune installed on your pc is corrupted or you have some problem with your USB drivers.

I have not tried connecting my iPod to another computer. I have tried another USB port and that didn't help. I have connected my wife's iPod to my computer and that work. after that I tried my iPod again it did not work same message. My iPod is new nano bought for Christmass. I wil try mine on another computer. I assume if it doesn't work then I have a defective iPod...

Simply reformat your ipod. Go to settings-general-reset. It will return your ipod to the state it was purchased.
