Hi rohith,
Does the issue persist, when trying to copy files from your hard drive to another PC? If you do not have important data on the hard drive, I recommend you to format it and try again. I would download the drive manufacturer's diagnostic tool and do a complete scan of the drive. Try using another USB cable.
Hope this helps

The diagnostic tool should be on the manufacturer's web page. Perhaps it is in the Drivers and Software section. I strongly recommend you to try with another cable because faulty cables may cause similar transfer and connectivity issues. Are there any strange noises coming from the drive?

I have tried out by using another cable but the problem still persists. No scope of any strange noises.

Could you enter Disk Management and check if the drive has correct file format? If there is no diagnostic tool on the drive manufacturer's web page, try using any hard drive diagnostic tool, but keep in mind that the results may not be very accurate. I would recommend you to boot from a Linux Live CD. It may grant you some access to your data. Backup all you can and format the drive.
