Broken Key?

Hi, I'm having a problem with one of my keys and a problem of whenever I log onto my computer. I recently think I broke my v key. The only way I'm getting that letting into the words I am typing right now is with autocorrect. The actual key wont type anything when I press it. So onto the log in screen, I have a password on my laptop, and whenever I go onto the log in screen a key will just repeatedly be pressed down until I press a key myself and delete all of the mysterious letters. I am assuming its my v key and its somehow jammed but I am not sure. All answers are appreciated! Thank you
