My Dell Inspiron laptop reset itself to factory settings. I've lost ALL of my documents, files, etc. How/why did this happen??? I did not intentionally reset or do anything out of the ordinary...walked away, came back and when I logged back in, my screen was reset...

Any way to recover deleted files from hard drive? (No back up in several months)

Factory reset actually deletes everything and put it back to what it was when you first took it out of the box. Sorry.

Hmmmm....my devices and printers are still there, my recycle bin still has documents (a ton). Okay, thank you.
