PC Mouse does not work

My name is BLASTUS. since i bought my new accer laptop i have got a problem, my PC mouse didnt work until now so please guys can you help me.....

What operating system is it? If it is 7, then make certain the cord or dongle is plugged in. If it is a wireless mouse, are the batteries dead?
