Hello,
My Toshiba windows xp has a built in mouse and it's frozen. I tried the fn+f5 and it didn't help anything. Need help desperately pics of my deceased Dad on computer and afraid I'll never see them again. Thank you!

Hi tdarb,

Can you use an external mouse? Perhaps try plugging a USB mouse into one of the USB ports. It will take a short time for the drivers to load, but should allow you to operate the machine and back your important data up to a memory stick or other medium.

Also, many machines have a touch-pad lock. If you let me know the model of your machine I will research it and see if it has one.
