Desktop not detecting HDD

Hello guys, each time I try to load windows XP on my desktop, it keeps telling me ' Hard drive' not detected. I have tried to load several times, even changed and replaced the IDE hard drive, the issue persist. Please help me out

In BIOS did you see your hard drive?

Did you set your first booting device to hard disk.

Did the hard disk is installed with os? If so then you try to connect it on other pc.
