Acer Aspire M5-583P-5859 will not boot/past the Acer flash intro

I was updating my system w/ Norton Internet Security & it said it had to reboot to take effect, it never got past that reboot, I tried every option doing the Alt+F10 keys & am stuck bc I do not know what else might work, the F8 thing never worked either, HELP....

OK, boot into safe mode. When booting up, try holding the SHIFT key. You should get a boot menu, select safe mode. Uninstall what ever it was and restart.
