WD hard drive not being picked up at all on new Rig

Hello,
I have had changed PC because my old one has died. This new build is all sorted just i cant detect my WD My Passport 500gb (2010). Doesn't get picked up on Device Manager. The light is on and there is movement in the external drive.

Anyone help with this one.

Formatting isn't an option because of content.

Did you try the USB ports on the back of the computer?

Yes in the USB 2.0 ports have tried different cables and USB 3.0 ports still the pc doesnt pick it up. The light on the hard drives there is moment.

Do you have access to another computer? Testing the external drive on another computer is about the only way to determine if it is working OK.
