I have a Toshiba laptop with Windows 8. Everything runs smoothly, but when it was turning on, the cord was pulled by my dog and came unplugged (I had the battery taken out and was using the outlet and charger to power it). I tried turning it back on, and it did come on, but it's stuck in some sort of troubleshooting loop, and won't quit "checking for problems." So, now I can't get to the desktop or anywhere else because it can't launch Windows. Am I able to get out of this troubleshooting loop? If so, how? I've tried all the options, including the advanced ones, but then it comes straight back to troubleshooting. That is, Start Up Repair.

---I don't have any back up discs

Sorry you need the Windows disk to do anything.
