I'm trying to access a folder within my hardrive, when I try to open it it comes up with 'G:\TV is not accessible. The parameter is incorrect.'
I've had trouble with a corrupt hardrive in the past and have used the command prompt solution of 'chkdsk /F G:' before and have tried it for this problem too. But it doesn't seem to be working for this solution. I also added 'chkdsk /F G:\TV' but it returns with 'Cannot open volume for direct access.'

Also when I try to remove the hardrive 'Windows - delayed write failed' and something about not being able to save all the data.

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Sarah.

Hi Slindores,

If you have Windows 7 or later you could try right clicking on the folder and choose "Restore previous version".

It may be unrecoverable though.

It may be possible to view it using a "live" boot cd such as Hirons or Ubuntu, and move it to another location on the PC, but I am not too sure about the quality of this advice.

Please let me know how you get on.

I really appreciate thank you messages as a payment for solving issues   :o)

Were you able to move the file? If you can then sometimes it can be recovered from there.
