Hello,

I sometimes record scenes from existing movie files for different purposes using VLC. Until recently, i had no problem with the recorded files. Now, every scene I record does not play any sound. The video is fine, but no audio. But the original video just plays normally (both video and audio intact).

Hope someone can help. Thanks!

So, how are your editing (cutting) it?

i really don't edit it. i just record a part of the whole video material. but as mentioned before, any portion i record does produce any sound.

So, I am confused, how do you record an already saved file?

as you may know, the vlc player has a recording function. what i am trying to do is to record a portion of the existing video file.

So what hardware device do you have capturing the Audio? I am referring to this:

If it is set to default, what is it?

I have said it once, I will say it again. IT!
