Cursor moves to the line above mid sentence

Hi,
I have a Sony Vaio (few yrs old) I want to clear the memory/preset keys. I can be typing away and for no reason my cursor moves to the line above mid sentence. I have to watch keyboard constantly or I'm typing gibberish. Is there a way to clear any pre-set memory keys?

This is a frequent issue with laptops. It's due to a circuit fault. Only a qualified technician can look in to it.
