I am sorry for any inconveniency caused by your WD hard drive. Connect the device to your PC and open Disk Management. Check if the drive appears with correct file format. There is a chance that you are facing a connectivity issue. I would try using another USB cable, because this is a really common issue. If you have valuable data on the drive, I strongly recommend you to back it up. If you manage to copy your data, try formatting the drive and check again.
