Realtek Audio HD has very little sound

Hello, my father just installed a new Biostar motherboard in my computer. The CD that came with the motherboard had the drivers for Realtek. I installed the drivers and I now have barely have any sound coming out of my speakers. I have to turn every volume control up just to barely hear the sound. I went to Realtek's website and downloaded the latest driver and nothing changed. The sound is working. I just want to make it louder. Any suggestions.
