How to recover lost files from usb drive on Windows 8

Hello,

I saved a lot of important files in my usb drive and my classmate wanted to see these files so I let him borrow them. But when he returned the usb, the files are not there but rather replaced by a copy-like file of my usb and I cant open it. I read about how to recover the lost files from usb drives but windows 8 doesnt have a start button and that's my problem. Any help?

Hello,
# Download USB Fix
  • Launch it, a shortcut will be created on your desktop.
  • Choose "Clean" option.
  • A pop-up will follow
    Connect all your external data sources to your PC (Usb keys, sd cards external drives, etc...)
  • Once you're ready, click "OK".
  • While cleaning, you will lose access to your desktop, but this is normal.

The numbers of analyzed and infected elements are displayed.
