itunes wont open! Closed

Hello,
iv formatted my laptop, iv download itunes lastest version! i click on the icon on mt desktop! and pow! i get a windows is gathering more info and it goes off!!! iv tried this loads of time and gettin a bit pist off now!!! can someone help!!!!!!!

uninstall it.
download iTunes again and install it.
this should work.
make sure that the connection does not interrupts during the download.

ive tried reinstalling it plenty of times and that still doesnt work. i have been working on this for days. im sooo frustrated.

I had the same problem.  The only way I could fix it was to do the following:

Make a backup of your library files for ITunes.
Uninstall Itunes.  Download and install ITunes 8.  
Open ITunes 8 just to make sure you can.  If it comes back with an error message about your library files being a more recent version, that's fine.  
Install ITunes 9.

that worked after i used a Windows Installer Clean-up utility.

Itunes wont open!
