Windows xp freezes

Every time I get load on windowsxp it freezes. I do not know what I did. I have norton down loaded through google chrome. I have to hold down the power button every time because there is not any thing else i can do. I have tried to reset to a ealier day but it says unable try again.

Well, support for XP has gone away! What version of XP sp2 or sp3? I encourage you to get a copy of 7 ASAP!
