Can't Access Hotmail Account !!!

Hello,
I had a Hotmail account made about in 28.11.2010, i was working with it straight 3 years then I forgot my password, I tried resetting it I couldn't do it.After that, today I needed it for a email i tried resetting the password again but it said ''That Microsoft Account doesn't exist".PLEASE HELP, could it been deleted ???

If it hasn't been used for over a year then the account has been deleted.
