My gateway was restarted when something popped up on the screen that ask if you wanted to restart it my boyfriend clicked yes. And since then I can't get it past the screen that has start in safe mode or last good known configuration. It don't have a disk drive. And I have nothing backed up at all. Because I just bought it used. Any help

Hello Tbaby2987,
I'm sorry that happened, but I think there's a way to get of the situation.
Try to find a bootable flash USB drive. Start your laptop and press the respective key to enter the BIOS while startup. There, you must change the boot priority to USB or CD, depending on what media you managed to find with an OS on it. Change the boot priority and make the HDD second. After that boot from the USB drive and click on the repair option of the OS.
Good luck and have a great weekend.
