Hard disk failure is imminent

Hello,

I have a HP 6530 laptop. I see a message on turning my laptop which says Hard disk failure is imminent and to take backup and this message freezes on my laptop screen. Can you kindly tell whether in this scenario the data in it are safe or they are damaged? Thanks in advance.

Hi

Your hard disk needs to be replaced. A technician could probably transfer the data to the new disk.
