Hello,
What do I do to make WD My Book be recognized by Windows? I can see it on devices but I do not see it in my computer.

The hard disk was formatted to Mac specifications and Windows can't read it. I suggest you read this:

Hi PJ,
What Xpcman said is correct. Your drive may be using a file format supported only by Mac. Depending on the My Book model it may have been preformatted that way or you have formatted it the first time you connected it to the Mac.
When you connect the device to the Windows PC, the drive should be recognized by Disk Management, but there may be some problem with the format. Is that correct? In order to see your files in Windows, you may try using some software. I am using an external on Mac and a on Windows PC too and I have formatted in exFAT in order to be usable on both systems. If you plan to do that too, first backup all data.
Hope this helps
