Hello,

Can someone help in figuring out a formula. If in the spreadsheet I enter under the condition column "good" or "bad" I need the next column under replacement to automatically be showing "Yes" or "No" depending on what I type in condition column. Also the Price column to show the amount if the replacement column has "yes"

Sorry for any confusion

Pawan, Good morning.

As the name says, Conditional Formatting only changes the FORMAT of a cell, not the content.
It works the aesthetic aspect of the cell.

About your case you need a formula:

Suppose:
Condition column = A
Next column = B

B1 --> =IF(A1="good","YES",IF(A1="bad","NO",""))

Please, give us some more info about layout of your file to help you better.

Is this what you want?
I hope it helps.

OK! So what do I use to change the content of the cell?

Meaning how do I get one cell to change based on the info entered in another cell?

Pawan,

Sorry but I can´t understand exactly what you want.

The formula I gave you changes the content of B1 cell depending on value at A1.

Please, show us a real example to easier the answers.
