How do you connect the SD card? Are you using a card reader or a specific SD card slot? I need to know if the card and the other card that you have tested do work on another PC? If they work, then the problem is not with them, but within the reader. If the reader connects to your PC through a USB cable, my suggestion is to try it on another port or a PC.
Check the Device manager of the PC for any USB controller conflicts and if there's need to make a driver update, try do to so.
Cheers.

I wonder if you have revised the Device manager? Have you? If you haven't, please go the Device manager to check if there are any conflicts presenting in the SD card reader's manufacturer. Update the driver, if necessary.
If you could, please post a printscreen of the Device manager and its dropdown menu while the SD card is inserted.
I am waiting on your post.
Cheers.

When I click the Print Screen key, nothing happens. I apologize for being so inept at responding to your comments. An SD card is in the slot now and the light is on, the photos came up normally, all probably because I had to reboot the computer a day or so ago. BTW, sorry for being so long in responding. As I have stated, I can make it work simply by rebooting the computer but is shouldn't function that way and it is just a hassle. Thanks so much for your responses.
