Hi All,

I started having trouble with my computer a few weeks ago. It had bad PCI Express slots. I sent the board out to the manufacturer and got it repaired. Now when I put everything back together, I get 1 long and 3 short beeps. I looked up online and some people say that it probably is a video card error. I'm using ASUS A8N SLI Deluxe motherboard with ATI X1300 All in wonder video card. The monitor says that it does not receive any input. I'm not sure if the video card is bad or if they did not repair the motherboard properly. The same thing happens no matter which PCI express slot the card is plugged into. Also, I get the same beep code when I remove the video card altogether and try to power up.

Can anyone please suggest how I can isolate the issue and get my machine working?

Thanks a lot for your help !

hi,
these beeps indicate a Video (EGA) Display Circuitry problem.
this may be found on the motherboard.
to be sure that the problem is not from the Video card, try it in another computer.
