Do you mean resetting to factory settings or installing operating system?

What does the blue screen (BSOD) say?

I mean installing an operating system
The blue screen says
A process or thread crucial to system operation has unexpectedly existed or been terminated.

Technical info: STOP: 0X000000F4 (0x00000003, 0x81E6A020, 0X81E6A194, 0X805FB02E)

Sorry for the bad news, 0X000000F4 error indicates a hard disk failure. I suggest you consult a technician to see if it should be replaced.

Good luck

P.S. Nothing to do with your disk, if you are still using Windows XP, you are asking for trouble.
