Computer slows down after 30 minutes of use

Hello,

my computer actually neither hangs nor does it really slows down.. till operating my pc for 30min. it works smoothly and after that it slows itself and takes very much time to even refresh it...
my computer specifications are
o.s. - windows 8.1
ram - 4GB
graphics card - 1GB
processor -i3
free space in pc is almost 170GB
I just cant understand why is this happening.....

This could very well be cause by a virus.

If you wish help to, locate, identify and remove the virus let me know.
