Hello,
I find that Yahoo's system is top notch but any system would require that you keep you info up-to-date.
Yahoo cannot provide for people who by negligence of theft lose their phone. But they did their best that they have provided for security questions and alternate e-mail. If you have not registered a security question not an alternate e-mail then you can't expect to be able to recover your account.
