Bitdefender problems

Hello,

I have bitdefender 2009 antivirus on xp operating system and firefox browser . It has had one problem or another for weeks . Their tech support is run by a robot that sends the same reply no matter what you say or how many times you ask . The Bitdefender forum was usefull as there were some suggestions and it was obvious that the problems were wide spread . Now it seems bitdefender shut down the forum as well . Do you have any idea how bad this problem is ??? And what do suggest I replace it with ???
